When To Grow Carrots In Brisbane

When to grow carrots in Brisbane? I plant seeds in March or April

When To Grow Carrots In Brisbane | Backyard Edition

Carrots, like lots of root vegetables, like cooler weather. So if you are wondering when to grow carrots in Brisbane, I recommend over autumn and winter.

2021 was the very first year that I planted carrots. I planted the seeds in April once the weather cooled down a little and the fully grown carrots arrived a few months later in August.

I’m very behind growing carrots at home because they taste SO much better. How do I know? My dog, Banjo, who never eats any vegetables, ate almost a whole carrot and begged me for more!

And if you’re wondering how to tell when they’re ready to eat: the carrots slightly pop up above the ground, showing you they’re ready to be picked!
