When To Plant Marigolds In Perth
Bright orange marigolds are a flower garden classic because they are easy to grow, seem to be happy in hot Australian weather and beautiful pollinators also seem to be attracted to them - what’s not to love?!
If you are wondering when to plant marigolds in Perth, I will cut to the chase: spring and summer are the perfect time!
They are actually a very simple flower to grow from seed (and also to collect seed from at the end of a season) so you can save a lot of money and time by growing your own. I’m currently on a huge marigold growing bent growing over 30 seedlings, so I have included my steps for planting marigold seeds below!

Planting Marigolds In Perth | A Seedling Guide
Fill up a seedling tray with potting mix (I use REKO trays and Searles potting mix*)
Put a hole in each square and then pop one marigold seed in each square (1 only, trust me!)
Pat down, sprinkle lightly with water from a watering can (I use Nylex) and put into direct sunlight
A week later seedlings should have popped up
I keep the seedlings in the tray for a whole month to let them get to a good size
