When To Plant Basil In Brisbane

Wondering when to plant basil in Brisbane? Spring and summer are great! The basil is at the front of these greens.

I’ve been growing my own herbs for the last 10 years now and there really is no going back to the supermarket version - not least because it is so annoying to have to buy a whole packet of coriander or basil or parsley when you only need a few leaves.

Basil is at the top of my list of useful herbs to grow because it tastes good in everything from salads to bruschetta. The great thing about it is that it can basically be grown in most seasons, but I personally think the best time to plant basil in Brisbane is in spring and summer when the weather is warm. If you’re keen to grow your own basil seedlings, check out my tips below too because it is very simple!
