How To Plant Seeds
The reason I am so obsessed with seeds is because planting from seeds opens you up to so many more possibilities with what you can grow, eat and enjoy.
There are hundreds of types of tomatoes, different lettuce varieties, incredibly beautiful flowers so far beyond the one or two varieties you find in the supermarkets or that are available as seedlings in shops. And I want to try them all!
Really, the most beautiful produce and flowers is grown in the backyards of people lucky enough to have been taught how to grow from seed. I was a totally newbie with no idea what to do and I learned how simple it is, which means that, of course, anyone can plant with seeds easily too.
If you are asking how to plant seeds, here are a few tips:
#1 One seed becomes 1 whole plant, so you only need to plant a few seeds at a time
#2 It takes 3 months to go from planting a seed to a fully grown sunflower or lettuce
#3 Seeds are activated by heat, so they need direct sunlight
#4 How to plant seeds effectively? I plant seeds into a seed tray using potting mix and let them grow nice and strong for 1 month, before transplanting them into a pot or garden bed
#5 There’s not too much to do except water them each day!
