Fergie’s Bells Of Ireland Seeds Led To These Beauties!

A few years ago I was so astonished when my brother Fergus grew Bells Of Ireland for the first time in his Sydney courtyard that I wrote one of the very first blog posts on my Salisbury Grange website about it! I was so surprised by his success because up until then he had been a total black thumb and had never grown anything before. COVID and lots of lockdowns changed that and Ferg’s gardening trajectory has only gone up and up since then.

Now that he’s more advanced, Ferg not only knows how to grow tonnes of beautiful flowers from seed, but he also knows how to collect seed at the end of each season and he collected a heaps of Bells Of Irelands seeds despite their very spiky stems (IYKYK!) When I visited him in Sydney recently he’d grown an amazing new batch of Bells Of Ireland and apparently these ones grew from seed that had just fallen into his soil by accident. #selfseeded!
