When To Plant Marigold Seedlings In Australia

Wondering when to plant marigold seedlings in Australia? Summer is the time! These enormous marigolds are the Jedi Orange variety grown by Julian from The Flower Hat Image credit: The Flower Hat

Marigold are a flower I recommend growing all over Australia because it is a flower that can thrive in any level of summer heat thrown at it.

I plant my own marigold seedlings in spring or early summer and they start to bloom en masse about 8 weeks later. (Check out a more comprehensive marigold seedling guide here.)

There are lots of awesome varieties and colours of marigolds, but I love the crazy Jedi Orange variety pictured above because of their show stopping size.

And if you are looking for other summer flowers to complement marigolds, you may like my Seasonal Calendar below which includes a number of other options for the season. Happy planting!
