It’s another year and another set of gardening goals are upon us. If you are looking to set the bar even higher with your dahlia patch in 2024, I find it super motivating to survey what some of the most creative florists and flower farmers around the world are doing.
Thanks to Instagram, we can peek behind the scenes at some incredible dahlia growers without leaving the country (although I would love to see all of these places in real life!)
From the heat of Mexico, to the UK countryside, to the Northern tip of the USA, here are four incredible dahlia gardens/farms from across the world to get inspiration for your dahlia planting plans in 2024! #1 Charlie McCormick - UK
UK-based Charlie McCormick grows his dahlias in a garden bed that wraps around his home on a 1 acre farm in the Dorset countryside. The rainbow of varieties that grow without too much structure is phenomenal.

#2 La Musa De Las Flores - Mexico
La Musa De Las Flores is a stunning dahlia farm based in Mexico that is run by floral designer Gabriela Salazar. The flowers are grown in shallow garden beds, protected by open overhead structures and surrounded by flowers in terracotta pots = the perfect dahlia inspiration for 2024. #3 Floret Flowers, Skagit Valley, USA
Floret Flowers based in the Skagit Valley near Seattle in the US is home to a dahlia patch dreams are made of. Floret owner Erin Benzakein plants each row with a different dahlia variety to create a stunning effect - and the blooms run into the thousands. Sigh.

#4 Santa Cruz Dahlias - USA
In 2006 Kristine turned an unused half acre plot of land into a dahlia oasis and set about creating her own unique, show stopping dahlia varieties like KA’s Coral Sea above. Check out her tuber list for the dreamiest dahlias you’ve ever seen.
